A total of $2,254 has been donated to the LPS Recycling Program through the Scrap Metal Drive.
We are thrilled to announce that over 250 green activities were reported through the new Green Schools Recognition Program this school year, and a total of $800 in sustainability project funds will be available to those schools that participated.
The Lincoln Public Schools Sustainability Department promotes green efforts throughout the district and the community by implementing environmentally responsible practices in LPS facilities and providing educational opportunities for our future environmental stewards. As a growing effort, several programs and resources have been made available to help our schools with recycling, composting, energy efficiency, outdoor education, and more! This website will provide ongoing updates on our sustainability efforts and opportunities for schools to go green.
