Welding Pathway

11th and 12th Graders

Overview

Learn basic metal fabrication and entry-level techniques to build and repair structures or products using OXY/FUEL and PLASMA cutting, ARC, MIG and TIG welding. Students work on projects in detailed, hands-on environment to prepare for a career in the welding industry.

Student Experience & Projects

Students will enrich their technical skills with participation in community service events, service learning projects, SkillsUSA competitions, fabrication of items for the Academy Enterprise Store, commercial building industry applications, career fairs, welding industry tours, job shadow, and internships.
