Edith Zumwalt, MS, RDN, SNS
Director of Nutrition Services
Oversee all student and child nutrition programs including school lunch, breakfast, after school snack, the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), supper meals, child care snacks and catering. Responsible for menus, department budget, food, non-food, large and small equipment purchases, staffing and training.
Mary French, MS
Responsible for department staffing: applicant interviews, selection process, orientation, and placement. Determine staffing needs for each site, oversee the Manager Trainee program, monitor long term absences, assist with training and staff development, and supervise select schools.
Provides office support and coordinates office projects. Prepares and maintains National School Lunch and Child and Adult Care Feeding Program applications and submits monthly claims. Prepares invoices and reconciles accounts; SubFinder and personnel action requests; maintains various department databases.
Order food, materials, equipment and services. Prepare and analyze bid specifications. Work with allocation of federally funded USDA commodities. Assist with distribution of all food and non-food items from vendors to individual school kitchens or warehouse.
Payroll Secretary II
Review and approve weekly timesheets for cafeteria employees. Format and update online menu publishing software. Order and distributive departmental forms and small equipment. Coordinate kitchen repair service and equipment maintenance. Provides backup support for dairy/bakery ordering and other office duties.
Free and Reduced Specialist
Review and approve all free and reduced priced meal applications. Work with families, school offices and liaisons to ensure qualifying students receive meal benefits. Import State Direct Certification data and complete annual verification process. Maintain department database of meal status. Handle bakery, dairy, and office supply ordering and billing. Reconcile charge card purchases. Provide general office support including review of ECP meal counts.
Special Diets Dietitian
Coordinate special diets for student. Work with parents, nurses, cafeteria personnel and other school staff to meet student's dietary needs. Conduct training on special diets. Conduct quarterly audits and annual recordkeeping training for child care and supper sites. Assist with school meals promotional activities and district wellness committee.
Supervises school nutrition operations. Assists select schools with staff training, production, menu preparation and nutritional analysis. Assists with the Back Pack program and the lunch program for VOICE students.
Andrew Ashelford, MBA, RDN
Supervises school nutrition operations. Assists select schools with staff training, production and nutritional analysis. Coordinates small equipment, paper/composting products and assist with the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP).
Kara Vlasin-Marty, MS, RD
Supervises school nutrition operations. Assists select schools with staff training, production, menu preparation and nutritional analysis. Responsible for maintenance and training of the department's food safety plan (HACCP).

Technology Support Specialist
Maintains LPS Nutrition Services Department’s district-wide system database software. Provides technical support to all LPS cafeteria computer users, including on-site technology support.
Maintenance and training of Point of Sale cash register systems in school cafeterias. Parent, account and online meal payment support. Responsible for compiling data for monthly CLC claims. LPS Menus Twitter/Facebook administrator.
