Programs

LPS Early Childhood Programs consist of developmentally appropriate early childhood education by highly-qualified teachers licensed through the Nebraska Department of Education.  Our programs have multiple funding streams, Title I, Nebraska Department of Education, Health and Human Services, Sixpence, and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Services Available to Children & Families:

• ​Student/Parent Program – ​For pregnant and/or parenting youth
• ​Half-Day Preschool – ​3.5 hour preschool sessions in the morning or afternoon in a variety of elementary buildings across town
• Developmental Screenings & ​Early Childhood Special Education​ – ​For children birth-5​​​​​​​​​
• Early Development Network (services coordination and birth-3 early intervention)
• Planning Region Team (inter-agency planning team supporting early childhood programs in the LPS community
• Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBiS)
• Educare – ​​Childcare and preschool, birth to 5
