Questions about kindergarten registration should be directed to the school your child will attend.
When registering at the school, you must bring your child’s:
- Certified birth certificate
- Current immunization record
When registering online you must upload your child’s:

- Current immunization record
Kindergarten Assessment Testing
In accordance with Nebraska statute, students may enter kindergarten if they turn five years of age on or before July 31. However, if your child was born between August 1 and October 15, he or she is eligible to participate in an assessment conducted by Lincoln Public Schools to determine possible early entrance to kindergarten.
Registration for Early Entrance testing for the current school year is complete. Registration for the 2021–2022 school year begins April 1, 2021.
You can complete an application online below starting May 1, 2020. A certified copy of the student’s birth certificate issued by the state in which the child was born, or other reliable proof of the child’s identity and age, (passport, Visa, or Permanent Resident Card) is required.
