  • Rules linked to expectations

Why:

  • Helps create consistency within a school building
  • Clear common expectations provides a behavior curriculum
  • Allows staff to proactively teach successful behaviors, communicate positive messages to stakeholders about success at school,  and demonstrate school-wide valued behaviors

Teaching Matrices:

  • Tool for teachers to communicate expectations for all areas of the building
  • Should be posted in all classrooms
  • Effective way for teachers to give pre-corrects to their students
    • For example:  When it’s time to transition to the Media Center, use the matrix to review those expectations.
