  4. When you select your input, the projector will turn on and the screen will lower. Please be sure the podium and other objects are not directly below the screen. It will take a few moments for the projector to warm up before displaying an image.

Connecting Your Device

Wired The front  and rear of the room are both equipped with inputs for the projector.   The front of the room has an HDMI cable as well as a VGA and audio cable available for you to use.  If you selected Podium Input or Rear Input from the Quick Start option as described above, then you can use either one of these cables and the system will automatically recognize your device. You may need to use an adapter/dongle to connect to one of these cables.  Click here for directions on how to connect your Apple laptop to a VGA cable. Once plugged in, your device should display on the screen.  If not, make sure the proper input was selected in the previous steps, and that your display settings are correct on your device. Wirelessly Each room is equipped with an Apple TV which allows certain devices to display wirelessly. Many iOS devices (iPads and iPhones) as well as newer Mac OS X computers (2011 or newer running 10.8+) can AirPlay to the Apple TV without any additional software.  Other devices can display to the Apple TV using software called AirParrot.  LPSDO staff can contact Computing Services at 402-436-1735 or help.lps.org to have the software installed on their computers (please allow 24 hours notice before needing to use the software).

Audio

Program Volume Each room is wired with ceiling speakers that are controlled with the Program Volume settings on the right side of the controller.  You can project sound from your device if you are plugged in with an HDMI or audio cable, or displaying through the Apple TV. If the Mute button is blue, the system is muted – tap the Mute button to turn on the sound, the button will turn black to indicate you are no longer muted. Tap the up and down arrows to adjust the room volume. Microphones The rooms are equipped with wireless microphones.  If you would like to use a wireless microphone, please notify Computing Services at least 24 hours in advance, and we can help you set them up. (email kristi@lps.org or call 436-1735) You may also choose to use a wired microphone (not provided) in the rooms.  Inputs for the wired microphone can be found near the front of the room with the display inputs.
  • The Program Volume on the right of the touch screen controller will adjust all sound in the room including the microphones.
  • If you want to adjust the output of the microphones independently from the rest of the sound in the room, tap Mics on the left side of the touch screen controller.  From this screen you can tap the up or down arrows to adjust the volume and mute and un-mute microphones.  You can also turn on Phantom Power from this screen to supply power to wired microphones that require it.

Turning the System Off

When you are finished presenting in the room, be sure to turn the system off.
  1. Tap the System Off button in the lower right of the touch screen controller. System Off Button
  2. Tap Confirm to turn the projector off and raise the screen. Confirm Shutdown
