LPS Students participate in the first Cane Quest

On December 5th, students and staff from Lincoln Public Schools traveled to Nebraska City to participate in the first annual Cane Quest for students with visual impairments.  During this challenge, students had to navigate through different check points while showing proper cane technique and daily living skills.  Each task showcased the student’s learning of cane and protective skills to safely travel in various environments.  Students were awarded coins for successfully completing challenges.  They had a fantastic time, and through feedback from the staff were able to determine skills they wanted to work on so they can earn more coins at Cane Quest next year!
