Look at our future STEM professionals!

During the February, 2016 VIP club, students worked on commercial grade computer programming – with accessible programming language ‘Quorum’. You would be amazed how easily the blind and visually impaired students get the higher concept of Math, Science and Technology once they are provided with the right system.  Their teachers are very proud of them.

The VIP Club is an after school activity club for middle school and high school students whose primary challenge is blindness or visual impairment. We meet once a month at a location that suits the activity/theme of the month. In the past, we have attended the movies, participated in youth archery training, listened to a blind opera singer, learned how to cook and etc.  Traditionally the Teachers for the Visually Impaired assigned to each school make a recommendation for a VI student to join the club when he/she is in 6th grade. The teachers for the Visually Impaired are also the staff to contact if anyone is interested in the club.
