Research

Educare Lincoln is part of a 24-site Educare Learning Network (ELN), which work together to share resources and strategies. Educare programs extend the Head Start performance standards by adopting additional guidelines, including being a data driven organization. Data is collected by Educare Lincoln’s Local Evaluation Partners (LEP) at the University of Nebraska. The LEP team collects data from Educare Lincoln’s children, families, classrooms, and staff on an annual basis.

  • Child assessments measure school readiness, language development, social/emotional development, and child executive functioning.
  • Parent assessments measure relationships with children, parenting stress, parental depression, and parenting activities and parenting practices.
  • Classroom observation measures collect experiences along with staff executive functioning.

All Educare Lincoln practices are driven by data results, meaning that results are shared back with the program and used for planning individualized services for children and families and program improvement. Findings are shared throughout the year and annually through an Evaluation Report.
