The philosophy of Educare Lincoln is designed to help children develop a positive self-concept, enhance their creativity, and enrich each child’s life socially, intellectually, and emotionally. Educare Lincoln provides an atmosphere of acceptance in which the individual needs of each child are considered and in which the child can flourish and grow under the guidance of qualified teachers with the support of their families.
Educare Lincoln is based on the developmental approach to early childhood education that places emphasis on learning skills, through play, that are geared to each child’s stage of readiness or development. Our approach to learning recognizes the tremendous capacity and desire of the young child to discover and explore the environment of their immediate world, enabling him or her to convert his natural curiosity into the learning process. Learning at Educare is also based on the beliefs that parents are a child’s primary educator. Educare Lincoln is not only a place for children to learn and grow, but also a place for parents and families to grow and reach their full potential.
The Educare staff consists of approximately 50 educators who are qualified and highly trained to educate and support children and families. Educare families work with classroom staff and family engagement specialists to provide continual support for children and families. Ongoing evaluation to assess the quality of classroom environments and student progress is foundational to the program. Data are used to plan for program improvement and policy development at both the state and national level. Parents play an important role at Educare by partnering in frequent activities and events and offering feedback to guide the program.
