Superintendent Search Process

September 27, LPS Superintendent Steve Joel announced his plans to retire at the end of the 2021–2022 school year. The Lincoln Board of Education started the search for the next superintendent with the selection of a search firm on November 9. There will be plenty of opportunities for staff, students, parents and community members to engage in the process.

Our search firm, Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA) is currently accepting candidate applications.

Next steps

Community input sessions will be held to help the search firm recommend candidates that would be a good fit for Lincoln Public Schools.
