Science Curriculum

Saturday Science

The Saturday Science program is a partnership between LPS and UNL which allows 5th graders to experience different physics concepts. This popular program will be held on the UNL City Campus during the four Saturdays in February. Cost of the program is $40. This fee enables students to attend all four sessions and includes weekly take home activities and materials. Students may indicate their preference of attending a morning or afternoon session on the application form.

Applications must be received at the Science Department at LPSDO (5905 O Street, Lincoln, NE 68510) Box 41 by 4:00 pm on Friday, January 6th. Since there are a limited number of spaces, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be created if needed. If space remains, applications will be accepted after this date.

1/6/17 Update:

There are spaces still available for the afternoon session of Saturday Science. The deadline has been moved back because of these additional spots.

Now we also have the capability to accept payment by credit card. Contact Becky at 402-436-1825 to use this option.

We’re looking forward to having your student scientist join us in February.
