Important Dates and Deadlines

September 18: EHS Financial Aid Program by EducationQuest in the cafeteria (5:30PM)
October 1: FAFSA Opens (EducationQuest is available for appointments)
October 2: College Fair @ East (9-10:30AM)
October 8: Apply2College Day Periods 1-3
October 31: Senior Pictures DUE to Yearbook Sponsor (Elle Conger)
January 31: DEADLINE to order your cap and gown without added late fee 
May 15: Senior Honors Convocation in the SGym (5:30AM)
May 24: GRADUATION DAY – 12:00 PM at Pinnacle Bank Arena

Timeline

Fall 2025

  • Meet with your counselor to discuss post-secondary plans
  • If you haven’t already – create and use a professional email address for applications.  Also make a Google Drive and begin moving over important documents.
  • Follow EHS Counseling Instagram for deadlines & updates @lincolneastcounseling 
  • Sign up for college rep visits (2026 Google Classroom → College/Military Visits)
  • Attend Financial Aid Night @ East High in September, 18th at 5:30pm (meal provided) 
  • Attend the College Fair on October 2  (9:00 AM -10:30AM)
  • Take or re-take  the ACT/SAT (act.org) (https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register)
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – opens October 1 (https://studentaid.gov)  EDUCATIONQUEST rep, Edwin Mendez-Rodriguez,  is available to assist. Sign up in the 2026 Google Classroom under Classwork-Topic EducationQuest
  • Apply2College Day @ East High on October 8 periods 1-3 in the commons.
  • Review Graduation Status in StudentVue → Course History
  • Meet with counselor, teachers, coaches, etc. for application and recommendation letter requests
  • Apply for Scholarships → LPS database use →  jump code RCGL
  • Order Cap and Gown – East Counseling website → quick links 
  • To request a CURRENT transcript: lps.org → jump code YZOW
  • If you are planning on playing college sports – create a profile on the NCAA/NAIA portal 

Spring 2026

  • January 31 is the last day to order your cap and gown without added late fee
  • Finalize your college selection and check your college portal for upcoming deadlines
  • Check your Class of 2026 Google Classroom regularly
  • Apply for scholarships and meet deadlines (especially Jan., Feb., March)
  • Check Financial Aid awards and secure any and all deposits to your selected college (housing, financial aid, etc.)
  • Seniors need to request a FINAL transcript to be sent to their college – lps.org→  jump code YEBE
