August 21 – October 30, 2018
Tuesdays 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
This support group is for families with children ages kindergarten through 18 who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. Activities are designed to help youth express themselves through art, games and dramatic play, while adult caregivers learn strategies to support their bereaved children and process their own grief.
Whether the death was sudden or anticipated, recent or many years ago, Mourning Hope welcomes families to join our support group series, which is offered at no cost to participants. This group enables both youth and their caregivers to develop healthy coping skills and work through complex emotions associated with the death. Most importantly, children and teens will recognize they are not alone in their grief.
