Course Planning & Resources

Course planning for the 2025-26 School Year

Course planning for the 2025-26 school year will begin in January.  Students who are currently in grades 9-11 will work with counselors during the following classes and dates:

Current Juniors:  US History classes | October 28th-30th
Current Sophomores:  English classes | November 4th-8th
Current Freshmen:  English classes | November 11th & 12th
Current 8th Grade | January 30th-February 6th

We encourage students talk with their current teachers for class recommendations.  Please consult the LPS Course Guide and other information on the Counseling Center website to reference graduation requirements, college entrance requirements, and college credit options.

Choose wisely!  Student registration determines which courses will be taught, when they will be taught and how many sections of each course will be needed. Staffing decisions are also based on student registration.  Once the schedule is built there will be very limited opportunity for changes.
