Improvements have been made to the application process to make the process quicker and easier for students:
- Students will self-report only their core courses (official course names are not required)
- Students will be able to self-report their ACT/SAT score. UNL will still require an official test score from the testing agency before a student is able to enroll, but UNL will issue admission and scholarship decisions based on self-reported scores.

UNL will also launch a new early application program this year called True Red. If students apply and are admitted by November 2, they will become a member of the inaugural True Red class.
