EducationQuest Foundation will sponsor the Lincoln Area 2014 College Fair, Sunday, October 19 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Southeast Community College, located on 8800 “O” Street. Representatives from as many as 100 colleges will be in attendance. EducationQuest will also conduct financial aid presentations during the college fair.
Helpful tips to make the most of the College Fair:
Visit NebraskaCollegeFairs.org to register for a barcode. Print the barcode and take it to the fair. College reps will scan it so you won’t have to complete information cards.
- Arrive early so you can visit all the colleges that interest you.
- Stop by the EducationQuest booth for free college planning materials and a bag for college materials.
- Come prepared with questions (pick up A Pocket Guide to Choosing a College brochure in the East High School Counseling Center).
- Attend a financial aid presentation offered during the college fair.
- If you decide a college isn’t right for you, contact the college and ask them to take you off their mailing list. This helps them, and saves you from receiving unnecessary mail!
