All three are open to high school students. 

2020 Hispanic Heritage Month Essay Contest is open to all high school students. This year’s essay students are to write about “Triumph over adversity”.  This generation has faced the biggest pandemic in the last century. Essays should address the following:

How have you overcome this challenge?
How has your life changed?
100 years from now, how will people look at this time?

Submission Deadline: September 20, 2020 at 5PM.

2021 Prudential Spirit Of The Community Award: If you have made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win a $1,000 scholarship and a trip to Washington D.C. The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is open to students in grades 5-12 who have been active volunteers in the last year.  For more information and/or to apply, please visit spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit.  Applications must be submitted by November 10, 2020.

Voice of Democracy Scholarship Contest is sponsored by the VFW and is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. The scholarship contest  is open to 9-12 grade high school students. Each contestant submits a 3 to 5 minute audio-essay on the topic  “Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?”
