Senior Return and Retrieval Days

Original message that went out to all families of Seniors.

Hello,

On May 19th and 20th, all graduating seniors and students in grades 9-11 who are not returning to Lincoln East High School will have the opportunity to return their LPS items, and pick up personal belongings. Seniors will also have the opportunity to pick up their cap and gown if they have previously purchased one.

Many students share their locker space(s) with another student; if possible, please communicate with your locker partner(s) prior to May 19th so you can decide who will be picking up the bagged locker items and how those items will be returned to their owner.

To help with traffic flow, we have assigned times for students based on the first letter of their last name.

May 19th – 8:30 to 11:30 (A-G)
May 19th – 12:00 to 3:00 (H-O)
May 20th – 8:30 to 11:30 (P-Z)
May 20th – 12:00 to 3:00 (Open to ALL)

Return and Retrieval Process at Lincoln East

Important information and steps to complete prior to May 19th and 20th:

  • If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
  • All students and guardians will be asked to stay in their vehicle.
  • If possible, please wear a mask and gloves for the return and retrieval process.
  • Station 1: Check-in – Start on the northwest corner of the building.
  • Station 2: Drop Off Lincoln East Items (except Chromebooks and instruments) – All items need to be bagged in a trash bag with the student’s name and ID number written clearly on the outside of the bag.
  • Station 3: Chromebook Drop Off – Students will need to bring their Chromebook, bag, and charger. Students need to bag these items up neatly in their Chromebook bag and place their student ID in the window of the bag.
  • Station 4: PE Locker Pick-up – If you have items from a PE or athletic locker, you will be given these items in a bag. Please see note above regarding locker partners.
  • Station 5: Cap and Gown Pick-up – Seniors who have previously purchased a cap and gown will pick them up now.
  • Station 6: Academic Locker Pick-up – Any items that were in academic lockers will be in bags and returned to students. Please see note above regarding locker partners.
  • Station 7: Other items (Music, STS, etc) – Students who have instruments, music, or STS supplies will return them in the south parking lot to the appropriate staff member.
