On November 7, 2019 the Pre-ACT assessment will be administered to students who are in 10th grade. ALL sophomores are expected to take the Pre-ACT. The Pre-ACT will give students an opportunity to take a practice version of the ACT that all students will take in April of their 11th grade year.
There will be no school for students in 9th, 11th and 12th grades on Thursday, November 7th due to staff being involved in test administration duties.
Regular classes will resume on Friday, November 8th for all students.
On Thursday, November 7, Sophomores will need to report to East High School for check in no later than 7:45 a.m. Testing will begin by 8:05 a.m. and will last until approximately 12:30 p.m. Students will be dismissed after testing.
Please note that students MUST arrive on time, and students MAY NOT USE CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT ALL during the entire testing period.
We ask that students do not bring cell phones or electronics with them. No food or drink is allowed in the classroom testing spaces. Students MUST wear their school ID as some form of ID is necessary as required by ACT for students to be able to test. Students should bring their own calculator and several sharpened No. 2 pencils – NO mechanical pencils may be used. Students can check with their math teacher to make sure their calculator is permitted by ACT. Attendance for this test is extremely important.
