Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries is hosting their Annual Book Sale at the Lancaster Event Center, September 16-22, 2019. They need volunteers to organize books on tables, assist customers with finding books, help carrying carts of books or boxes, help with check-out, and help with carry-out of purchases. Once the sale is over on Sunday afternoon, we need volunteers to help with boxing any books that didn’t sell and tearing down any leftover boxes to be recycled.
On Friday, September 20, 2019, Cavett Elementary School is holding a “Cavett Fun Night” for its students and families from 5-8:00 PM. Fun Night is an annual carnival-like event with games and food for families to enjoy. They are seeking volunteers to help run games and food stations at the Cavett Fun Night.
Fun Night requires a tremendous number of volunteers. Volunteers will sign up for 1-hour shifts but are more than welcome to volunteer the entire time. Volunteers will be assigned to a booth and will run that activity and award prizes as elementary students rotate through the event.
