Overview Video of CICO

What's my role?

Teacher's Role

  • Throughout the day, provide specific positive feedback
  • Provide points (2, 1, 0) on the Daily Progress report (electronic or paper)
  • Teachers initiate feedback and scoring
  • Focus on the feedback rather than emphasizing the score

Self Reflection

  • Did I give feedback during every subject and/or period?
  • When I give the student feedback, did I tell the student some things they did well and if necessary, something to work on?
  • Do I refer to the school-wide expectations when giving feedback (ex. safe, respectful, responsible)?
  • What do I do to make this a positive experience for the student?

Data Collection

Daily Progress Report (DPR)

  • Used for data collection to determine if CICO is working or not

  • A tool that reminds adults to give feedback

Notice

  • School-wide expectations are the skills/goals for all students in CICO

  • Standard card for all students (not individualizing)
