O’Connor Elementary

  • OPERATION: 1963 – 1967

This short-lived elementary school (frame building) was named for Mary O’Connor, principal at Park School for 28 years until her retirement in 1943. Miss O’Connor died in 1960 at the age of 85.

 

Via Jim McKee: “As you drive around Lincoln, look for the 1963 O’Connor School which still stands, albeit boarded up, as a prefab-looking frame building on the southwest corner of 40th and Adams streets in the corner of a Lincoln park.”
