Seniors, here are the top three things you should be doing…
- Create your account at StudentAid.gov, if you have not done so already. Both you and at least one parent will need an account in order to submit your FAFSA later this semester.
- Review your grad status in Synergy Course History and talk to your school counselor if you think you’re missing something. Official grad status notification letters will be sent to all senior families in September.
- Mark your calendars for Senior Family Night at Northwest on September 24th!
Dual enrollment and/or AP exam registration for fall classes is happening now.
If you’re enrolled in an AP or other dual credit class this fall you should be receiving information about these opportunities from your teacher soon, if you have not already. The full list of dual credit classes for the 2025-26 school year can be found HERE. Please contact Ms. Sharpe if you have any questions about these early college access opportunities.
Registration for the optional PSAT/NMSQT will also be opening soon.
Sophomores and juniors who are interested in taking the optional PSAT/NMSQT in October should submit the online PSAT/NMSQT Interest Form now and then watch for additional communication in early September. The PSAT/NMSQT exam is an optional practice test for the SAT, which is administered by the College Board each year in October, and serves as the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship competition when taken during junior year. The PSAT may also be taken by highly motivated and academically driven 10th grade students as practice for the qualifying PSAT/NMSQT exam to be taken their junior year.
