The PSAT Test will be offered Saturday, October 15th at Lincoln Northwest. This is an optional test. Any junior or highly motivated sophomore who wants to take the PSAT must register prior to testing. Tickets are on sale now and registration will remain open until Friday, October 7th, or until all seats are taken. Space is limited and registration will be first come, first served.
To register for the PSAT, students must come to the Northwest Student Success Center (1st floor, across from the athletic office) to fill out the registration form. The cost for this test is $35 and payment should be made at the time of registration. Payments are accepted by cash, check (made out to “Northwest High School”) or a fee can be added to the student’s account, which can then be paid online through My School Bucks (no card payments are accepted at the school).
Financial assistance is also available. Students may request this option when filling out the registration form. Registration fees must be paid before the testing date. The test fee is non-refundable after the test date has passed.
Juniors who take the PSAT this year will be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Highly motivated sophomores may take the test as practice, but results this year will not be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Sophomores who take the PSAT this year may still test their Junior year to be considered for the scholarship program next year. Limited seats are available for Sophomores, with first priority given to interested Juniors.
