Indoor Percussion
Indoor Percussion provides an opportunity for Lincoln High students to gain greater understanding of the percussive arts. Students will focus on learning skills such as proper technique, musical vocabulary / notation, movement, memorization, and performance via music and choreography chosen for them. This group typically practices November – May and performs for a variety of school and community events.
Pit Orchestra
The Pit Orchestra is a small ensemble that usually consists of keyboards, percussion, wind, and string instruments. They are the ensemble that plays for the school musical each year. Auditions are held at the end of December. Rehearsals happen 2 times a week in February and March. Then 2 weeks before the musical performance students are required to be at rehearsals every night. Musicals that have been done in the past: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Hello, Dolly! and more.
