Homework

Tips for Homework Completion:

  • Develop a routine time to complete homework
  • Create a space for the student to work that is conducive to learning. This might be a kitchen table, or on a chair with a clipboard in a quiet room
  • Gradually help the child accept more responsibility for remembering to complete the work on their own.
  • Homework is meant to reinforce classroom learning without becoming a burden at home. It should only take a reasonable amount of time to complete. Reach out to the teacher if you notice your child is working for an extended period or getting stuck.
