The Lincoln Public School District offers this testimony as a proponent of LB 303.
LB 303 proposes positive steps forward through:
- increasing the state commitment to funding PK-12 through existing structures within the TEEOSA formula
- adjusting the components of the formula in an incremental manner
- representing input from schools
- seeking to address very low levies and therefore the variation in levies across the state
- committing to continuously studying state funding for PK-12 education with a focus on stability.
