Brett Noser: Nebraska American String Teachers Association (ASTA) Strings Teacher of the Year

In 2023, Lincoln High School music teacher Brett Noser was honored by the Nebraska American String Teachers Association (ASTA) with the String Teacher of the Year award.

Explanation

Brett Noser teaches music at Lincoln High School which includes varsity and prep orchestra, IB music, piano, Banda/Mariachi, and music tech. Brett has been teaching at Lincoln Public Schools since 2008.

Brett was recently honored with the String Teacher of the Year award by the Nebraska American String Teachers Association (ASTA).

The nomination letter says:

“Aside from being a valued member of this organization and secretary at one point, he is a superior music educator and all-around great guy! His students respect and admire him. His musical groups play at an incredibly high level with many individuals being accepted into local and state honors orchestras.”

Proposal

That the Lincoln Board of Education adopt the following resolution:

WHEREAS, Brett Noser teaches music at Lincoln High School, and was recently awarded String Teacher of the Year by the Nebraska American String Teachers Association; and

WHEREAS, Brett Noser works collaboratively to build quality music programs in our schools and community; and

WHEREAS, Brett Noser is committed to the success of students exploring their passions in music and the arts, and provides opportunities for all students to discover their musical abilities; and

WHEREAS, Brett Noser is valued, respected and admired among his colleagues, not only at Lincoln Public Schools, but also across the state of Nebraska;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lincoln Board of Education does hereby congratulate Brett Noser for being honored by the Nebraska American String Teachers Association with the String Teacher of the Year award.
