Master Sergeant Phillip Davey

Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI)

Master Sergeant (MSgt) Phillip Davey was born in Muskegon, Michigan. He joined the Air Force three days after high school graduation and spent 23 years serving. During his enlistment, he spent his first four years as an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) mechanic at Pope AFB, NC. He found out young in his career that he liked to be in front of people and had a passion developing those around him. For this reason, he was selected to be an AGE instructor in Wichita Falls, TX. After his instructor duty, he was selected to be an enlisted recruiter in Kalamazoo, MI and Sumter, SC where he spent the next seven years giving young adults the chance to better themselves with a career in the Air Force. After recruiting, MSgt Davey was sent to Omaha, NE as the Flight Chief of the AGE flight and later the Production Superintendent of maintenance. Sergeant Davey spent 3 years in Omaha, one year in South Korea, and another three years in Omaha before his retirement in January 2023. 

MSgt Davey is married and has four children. He is very passionate about building the AFJROTC program and teaching and developing others. During his free time, he loves to fish and be outdoors.
