Develop citizens of character.
We aim to empower our cadets with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to become responsible citizens and future leaders of character, while fostering a deep appreciation for leadership, community service, and teamwork.
Leadership, discipline, self-confidence, accountability.
The Lincoln High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC program is a student lead program open to all students in the Lincoln, NE area that are enrolled in High School. The AFJROTC program provides opportunities for young adults to develop leadership skills, get involved with the community, and develop academic, social, and physical skills to develop citizens of character along with a variety of after school programs. The AFJROTC program does not prepare young people for military service rather promotes the pursuit of high education.
The 2023-2024 academic year was a huge success. Although we were only operating a half capacity, our students committed 912 hours to community service, fundraisers, participated in archery, drill, and raiders (work-out program) and went on numerous field trips. As our program builds, we are looking forward to attending competitions for drill and archery as well as field trips geared towards building camaraderie within our corps.
The goal of AFJROTC is developing citizens of character. Our students performed color guards and gave their time and talents to serve their communities. Our seniors earned a host of academic awards and scholarships. We are looking forward to building on these successes and growing each year.
