Power of Connection Challenge
We are excited to share with you about the Lincoln Public Schools Wellness Challenge for second quarter, the Power of Connection Challenge. This effort fits well with character education goals, helping students learn about the impact on their own lives while encouraging them to connect to the world around them and do for others.
With Thanksgiving break during this quarter, the challenge may tie to some of your family traditions. This is a good chance to share with your child what your family does currently to help others. Families might also consider building some new traditions of kindness, gratitude and giving.
You just may be the recipient of much of your child’s efforts to make a difference, so please do what you can to notice the extra efforts they are making and give them a pat on the back. Positive support from family may help make students build these choices into their daily lives. We thank you for your teamwork in building a bright future for your child.
You can contact Michelle Welch, Lincoln Public Schools Wellness Coordinator, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 402-436-1728.
