Please contact your school office if you need to make changes to your phone number, email or mailing address.<\/p><h3>REMINDER: School physicals<\/h3><p>It is time to schedule your students&#8217; school physical for next school year! All students benefit from an annual wellness exam.<\/p><p>Families of kindergarten and seventh grade students for the 2026-2027 school year need to provide evidence of a physical examination completed by a physician, physician assistant, or an advanced practice registered nurse to the school your child attends \u2013 or will attend. There are required immunizations needed for school that are given to kindergarteners and seventh grade students during their school physical.<\/p><p>All students must be current with all school required immunizations and provide proof to the school. There are many resources available and the school nurse can assist you if you have questions.<\/p><p>Please note that high school athletic physicals need to be completed <b>after<\/b> May 1, to be eligible for the 2026-2027 sports season.<\/p><h3>Extra Mile Walk \u2013 Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.<\/h3><p>Go the extra mile \u2013 help combat food insecurity by supporting the Food Bank of Lincoln&#8217;s BackPack program. These funds can be used to buy select food items during the summer period.<\/p><p><b>Please note:<\/b> Students attending Lincoln <u><a href=\"https:\/\/home.lps.org\/ns\/community-eligibility-provision\/\">CEP schools<\/a><\/u> may not automatically qualify for Summer EBT benefits and may need to complete a Summer EBT application. If your household receives public assistance benefits such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Aid to Dependent Children (ADC), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or qualifying income-based Medicaid programs, you will not need to complete a Summer EBT application.<\/p><p>If you think your children are eligible, you can <u><a href=\"https:\/\/dhhs.ne.gov\/Pages\/Summer-EBT.aspx\">apply for Summer EBT benefits online<\/a><\/u> to get benefits for this summer. Lincoln Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2026-2027 school year.<\/p><p>Parents of children turning five years of age on or before July 31, 2026 can go to <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lps.org\">lps.org<\/a><\/u> and <u><a href=\"https:\/\/home.lps.org\/studentservices\/enroll-your-student\/\">click on the red &#8220;Enroll Your Student&#8221; button<\/a><\/u>. There you will also find all the information necessary for registering, the required documents needed and answers to frequently asked questions.<\/p><p>For children who turn five between August 1 and October 15, parents may request an assessment for their child to receive a waiver to attend school early. That information is also located on the kindergarten registration page.<\/p><p>Parents who do not have access to the online registration, or wish to register their child in person, should contact their attendance area elementary school as soon as possible.
