This includes the logistical procedures as well as the behavioral expectations around technology use for students.<\/p><p>Beyond these back-to-school lessons, when a student signs into their Chromebook or the <a href=\"http:\/\/portal.lps.org\">LPS portal<\/a> (where they find all of their learning materials) they are presented with a reminder of those expectations.<\/p><p>The student RUA can be viewed in detail at any time by entering LPS.org keyword: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/home.lps.org\/technology\/policies\/lps-student-responsible-use-agreement\">RUA<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>EXAMPLE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/home.lps.org\/technology\/policies\/lps-student-responsible-use-agreement\">Responsible Technology Use Agreement for Secondary (Grades 6-12) Students<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0cc5383\" data-id=\"0cc5383\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c535a67 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c535a67\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><strong>Elementary RUA<\/strong><\/h3><p>Before using Chromebooks for the first time each year, elementary teachers take time to discuss and model what responsible and appropriate technology use will look like in our classrooms. The student RUA is used to frame classroom discussions around appropriate behaviors when using devices and network services in the classroom setting, as opposed to the behaviors they may express when using devices in a personal (home) setting.\u00a0<\/p><p>Student ownership of behaviors and consequences are also discussed.
