luncheon.<\/p>\n<p>Principal Molly Bates accepted the 1st Place 2016 School Recycling Award and a $50 prize for Morley Elementary for their efforts involved with composting in their cafeteria AND composting paper towel waste from restrooms and classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>Principal Haeven Pedersen accepted the 2nd Place 2016 School Recycling Award for Holmes Elementary for their success with the compost program in the cafeteria which diverts an average of 95% of lunch waste from the landfill each day.<\/p>\n<p>These are just two LPS schools doing great things to reduce their environmental impact and teach their students the importance of environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Holmes Elementary and Morley
