For Earth Day this year, LPS students and staff were asked, “How do you pledge to help our planet?” and you can check out their collection of responses here: 2023 Earth Day Pledges<\/a>.<\/p>

Families gathered at Kloefkorn Elementary for an Earth Day celebration on Friday, April 21st. The PTO organized the activities which included spreading mulch around the grounds and several environmental themed crafts. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

The LPS Sustainability Team joined the Youth Leadership Lincoln group on Friday, April 28th to celebrate Earth Day AND Arbor Day! These high school students made pledges to reduce their carbon footprint and then worked in teams to develop larger scale climate action proposal in the areas of energy, water, waste, transportation, local food, and nature. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

Norwood Park kicked off gardening season with their \"Wake Up the Beds\" event on Saturday, April 22nd. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

The Neature Club students at Southeast High School hosted a week long plant sale to raise money for their club activities. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>
\"Kindergarteners
Kindergarteners at Maxey Elementary brainstormed ways they can take care of the earth and made Earth Day crowns.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>

For this month's PLC Day, West Lincoln Elementary invited the LPS Sustainability Team to celebrate Earth Day, Arbor Day, and school sustainability! Students made their own Earth Day pledges to add to their 'Sustainabili-Tree' and made cards to thank trees for all the amazing things they do for us and our community. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
