By completing these sustainability activities, Prescott is not only spreading education and awareness to their students about environmental issues, but they are also getting closer to earning money for their school’s future sustainability efforts!<\/p>
The recognition program engages staff, students, administrators, custodians, and families by encouraging them to complete activities that reduce the environmental impact of their school. The program is based on the number of points earned by each school and recognizes schools for various levels of achievement. With 100 points earned by doing sustainability based events, the school gets awarded $50. Schools can even earn up to $500 just by completing fun, educational events that focus on sustainable initiatives!
