Thank you to all of the students, staff, friends and neighbors that participated. Over $1,000 of books will be added to our school library bookshelves, and over 81,500 cans were recycled! Congratulations to our top schools\u00a0and prize winners:<\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-616\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/home.lps.org\/recycling\/files\/2016\/03\/Logo-300x188.png?resize=300%2C188\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/>1st Place &#8211; Huntington Elementary<br \/>707 pounds of cans recycled, $235 donated<br \/>Receives additional $75\u00a0prize<\/p><p>2nd Place &#8211; Lakeview Elementary<br \/>423 pounds of cans recycled, $180 donated<br \/>Receives additional $50\u00a0prize<\/p><p>3rd Place &#8211; Sheridan Elementary<br \/>172 pounds of cans recycled, $65 donated<br \/>Receives additional $25 prize<\/p><p>The\u00a0Cans4Books program has reached over $41,600 donated to school libraries for the purchase of books since 2001.
