This session will focus on tier 1 effective classroom practices and how they support students impacted by trauma and the effects of trauma. Participants will learn how unresolved trauma may affect student behavior and understand the alignment of classroom practices and how they are trauma informed.

MTSS-B is ideal for implementing strategies to support students coming back to school and to prevent and address further challenges. This session will focus on six strategies for school teams to ensure a safe, predictable, and positive school year. These strategies are beneficial for all students if the school has been closed, as well as for individual students returning from extended time away from school.
