What's my role?

Teacher's Role

  • Prevent: How will the environment be changed to prevent the problem behavior?
  • Teach: How will the student be taught the alternate/replacement behavior?
  • Reinforce: How will reinforcement be provided to encourage positive behavior (both desired and replacement)?

Self Reflection

  • Do I know, understand and am able to implement the prevention strategies?
  • Do I frequently and consistently prompt the replacement behavior?
  • When the student displays the replacement behavior, do I consistently provide reinforcement?
