What's my role?
Teacher's Role
- Prevent: How will the environment be changed to prevent the problem behavior?
- Teach: How will the student be taught the alternate/replacement behavior?
- Reinforce: How will reinforcement be provided to encourage positive behavior (both desired and replacement)?
Self Reflection
- Do I know, understand and am able to implement the prevention strategies?
- Do I frequently and consistently prompt the replacement behavior?
- When the student displays the replacement behavior, do I consistently provide reinforcement?
