StarLab

Invented in the late 1970s the StarLab® portable planetarium has been creating memories long before any other portable planetarium. With it, over a million students have gotten their first, and in many cases only, in-depth look at a unspoiled night sky.

Suggested courses that may utilize StarLab are:

Middle School:  8th Grade Astronomy Unit

High School:  Astronomy; Geoscience

This year, the Distribution Center will be moving Starlab between schools. You will have access to the StarLab for a one week time period. If you sign up for a week and plans change so that you won’t be using the Starlab, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can pass the opportunity on to another school. Also, in case your first choice of dates has been taken, you will want to have a couple alternate weeks in mind. Check out Tips and Tricks for use of StarLab.

Next, use Jump Code R2RP to fill out a short Google Form with your contact information and time preferences. You will receive confirmation of dates within a week.

If you have questions, please contact James Blake (jblake@lps.org / 402-436-1802) or Jamie Greenlee (jgreenle@lps.org / 402-436-1825).
