Probationary certificated employees must complete the following District requirements for permanent status (tenure) by December 31st of the third probationary year.<\/p>

Three years of consecutive services at .8 FTE or more on continuing contract. For service at .50 to .79, contact Human Resources for the service requirement. Regular attendance is expected. There may be extenuating circumstances that require an absence. Please work with your instructors in the event that you would need to miss a class session.<\/p>

It is at the discretion of your instructor to excuse you from a class session. In order to receive salary advancement credit<\/a>, the payment for the course ($40 per credit hour) must be received no later than the last scheduled day of the class. Tenure requirement courses are offered yearly – one class per year. There are limited or no summer offerings depending on your assignment. It is important to register for the correct class year each year.
