In this unit, students continue their study of numbers from 1\u201310 and simple shapes. They build on their knowledge of numbers 1\u201310 to understand the numbers 6\u201310 as composed of a 5-group and some ones and by counting a nickel and pennies. Students explore number order, ordinal numbers, 1 more and 1 less relationships, and partners for the numbers 1\u201310. Students learn and use the attributes of triangles and hexagons.
