In this unit, students develop counting skills for numbers 1\u201310. They represent numbers by using objects and making drawings. Students learn to write the numbers 1\u201310. Addition and subtraction within 5 is introduced and numbers through 10 are compared. Students learn to identify circles, squares, and rectangles and use attributes to sort and compare these two-dimensional shapes. Students identify, extend, complete, and create repeating patterns and are introduced to the penny.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
