This is my nineteenth year at Lincoln East (Fall 2005 to Present) and 27th year teaching.\u00a0 I will be teaching the following classes this year: Digital Media, Digital Design, Business Management and Leadership, and Take Charge. I also teach Accounting Diff and hope to teach it again next year.<\/p>\n
I am the FBLA Adviser for Lincoln East.\u00a0 Last year the chapter members received many awards including several first\/second places at the state level.\u00a0 This past summer<\/p>\n
I previously taught at Lincoln Southwest (1 year), Lincoln High (3 years) and Omaha Central (4.5 years).\u00a0 I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my Teaching Certificate for Business Education with an Endorsement in Computer Science through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.<\/p>\n
Professional Development is one of my passions and I enjoy attending conferences and workshops to improve my teaching and technology knowledge. I have previously served as President of the Nebraska State Business Education Association and\u00a0 on the Scholarship Committee for the National Business Education Association. In 2013 I received the ACTEN (Association for Career and Technical Education Nebraska) CTE Teacher of the Year award and Business Teacher of the Year.<\/p>\n
My interests outside of teaching include spending time with family, long walks, traveling, photography, and crafts.<\/p>\n
