The Northwest school counseling team is excited to announce the first annual Future Flight Night! This year, Future Flight Night has been scheduled in conjunction with the Northwest vs Lincoln High boys’ basketball game on January 31st, and we’ll be offering free admission to the JV game and a concessions voucher for all students and family members who attend the event!
Future Flight Night is a time for our current students and families to learn more about a variety of post-secondary options and how to prepare for these opportunities in high school. We will have two sessions for you to choose from (see details below), as well as a Q/A session with the Northwest school counselors.

Academic Planning for High School – Become familiar with the LPS graduation requirements, where to find academic planning resources, and how to help your child create a graduation plan that is best for them. This session is ideal for families who are new to LPS, or are guiding their first child through high school in LPS, or those who simply want to know more about what students need to accomplish in order to graduate from high school.

Planning for High School and Beyond – Learn more about the unique educational opportunities at Northwest, accessing financial resources, and how to help your child prepare for their plans after high school. This session is ideal for families of students who are potentially interested in an LPS focus program, earning college credits while in high school, and preparing for post-secondary education at a 2- or 4-year college or university.

January 31, 2023 – Enter through Door 18 and follow signs to session locations
5:15 -5:45 pm – Presentation Session (choose to attend one of the above sessions)
5:45 – 6:15 pm – Q/A Session with Northwest School Counselors
6:30 pm – Game Time!
To help us plan for adequate spaces, we ask that you register for one of the above sessions if you know you’ll be attending in advance. However, registration is NOT required and all are welcome on the evening of the event! Please enter through Door 18.
