- EasyWhois
EasyWhoIs contains tools to determine the owner of a domain name, DNS information, as well as “webanomics” -stats on the domain such as Google page rank, links to that site, etc.
- Domain Tools
This site maintains domain name ownership records. Enter a domain name, and learn who owns it, or the reverse!
- Alexa Site Info
Alexa features information about websites, including other sites that link to it, internet traffic on that site, and more.
- Snopes
Snopes is the self-proclaimed “definitive Internet reference source for urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation.”
- Wayback Machine
To find historical information on a website, try the Wayback Machine. A project of the Internet Archive, the Wayback Machine is a database of over 150 billion web pages archived from 1996 to a few months ago.
- Hoovers
Hoovers features information on companies, industries, and executives. You can read basic company information without a subscription.
