Buffett Foundation has offered scholarships to college students in Nebraska for over 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshman entering college who live in Nebraska, graduate from a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend a Nebraska public college, and demonstrate financial need. There are a limited number of scholarships, so the Foundation is unable to provide awards to all eligible candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply visit:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/buffettscholarships.org\">https:\/\/buffettscholarships.org<\/a><br \/>\nValued up to $6,050 per semester &#8211; amount is based on where a student attends college. Applicants must meet the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">*Be a Nebraska Resident<br \/>\n<strong>*<\/strong>Have at least a 2.5 unweighted GPA<br \/>\n<strong>*<\/strong>Be a first time freshman when entering college<br \/>\n*Plan to attend a Nebraska public college<br \/>\n<strong>*<\/strong>Be in need of financial assistance as demonstrated by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC)<\/p>\n<p><strong>On-line Application opens Nov. 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All Application materials are due Feb. 1<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship The Susan T.
