The Lincoln High Cross-Country season officially begins on Monday, August 11th. Cross-country is a team sport, and good teams are built through strong positive relationships and accountability to perform our best each week for our teammates. At Lincoln High, our goal is to be a competitive team and help you achieve your goals.
Summer conditioning is an important piece of the program and where we begin the work to succeed. We will begin conditioning on Tuesday, May 27th and continue to meet Monday through Friday mornings all summer.
Yearly sports physical examinations need to be completed after May 1st and are required for participation during the cross country season. These physicals and forms, as well as parent and student forms need to be completed and turned in prior to August 11th in order to participate in Fall sports.
The 2025-2026 forms will be available on our LHS athletic website under Athletic Participation Packet after May 1st.
The first day of the Cross Country season and official practice is Monday August 11th 2025.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email your future coaches at any time. We look forward to having you on the team!

Doctor’s Note Policy: A note must be provided anytime an athlete visits with a medical professional that explicitly states that the athlete is free participate in athletics. This must also state if any or no restrictions are placed on the athlete upon return to play. These notes must be returned to a coach, and the coach will return the notes to the athletic training staff. These notes must be provided for any and all visits with medical professionals (ex. dental exams/cleanings, tightening of braces, eye exams, etc.) Weather Policy: As always, our goal will be to host practice each day. If it is raining or cold, this will be important as we do race in the rain. We understand that some of our student athletes will be coming from home, so if the uncertainty of practice occurring and length of practice with ride drop-off and pick-up creates a difficulty, athletes can be excused from practice. Student athletes who ride a bike or walk to practice may be excused based on the weather. If you or your athlete feels uncomfortable coming into the building during this time, your athlete may also be excused. Please make sure to contact one of the coaches if your athlete needs to be excused so that we know where they are at.
